The Treasurer is responsible for depositing, investing and distributing monies on behalf of LaSalle County. The Treasurer is also the County Collector and as such bills and collects real estate taxes.
The Collector sends out 68,000 tax bills yearly, while collecting over 205 million dollars and distributing that collection to over 554 accounts for our 159 taxing bodies in a timely manner.
In addition, the staff collects Mobile Home bills, Estate Tax, works with many seniors on the tax deferral program and holds the annual tax sale.
